CPU : AMD PHENOM II QUAD-CORE 940 4x3.0 Ghz
MAINBOARD : MSI K9N2 Diamond (MS-7375)
RAM : 4096 MB DDR-II
HDD : SEA BARRACUDA 7200.11 750GB

Re: Is that a good choise?

A-Data RAM has issues with a LOT of Mobo's.
2x1GB would probably be fine but if you want to go with 2X2GB, I would highly recommend Corsair.

A note about Corsair rebates. Corsair sends a credit card in lieu of a check, toward future purchases of Corsair products.

Re: Is that a good choise?

Quad core is good for heavy multi-tasking or intense video work.
Dual will be better for gaming.
I don't do AMD but I would look at Asus Mobo's over the MSI.

Re: Is that a good choise?

I have the same processor you do and my computer absolutely destroys games. Eventually games will take advantage of quad core cpus so IMHO it would be better to get the quad core. Plus everything installs faster, especially the OS.

Re: Is that a good choise?

High dollar CPU on a low dollar board if you're going for a Q9550 go for the P45 P5Q or EP45 UD3L motherboard.

Ditto: Definitely go for a P45 chipset Mobo.
