Need help with my computer? Building it better and i have some questions.

My computer now was good. It worked fine but i've recently wanted to upgrade my video card when i found my motherboard is too small (in size) and the video card wouldn't fit properly. So i'm basically restarting the build from the beginning and i need help with it.

New motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128387
And the video card i want is the gtx 260 unless theirs one with basically the same performance but cheaper?
and my power supply is at a whack so im replacing that one with a Thermaltake W0172RU Toughpower 850W unless theirs one like it but cheaper?

My questions are. Ive never replaced a motherboard before and i was wondering if it was just as easy as unplugging things here and their plugging them in the corresponding spots then putting back the processor?
The other i don't think i can ask on this forum but i have 4 gb of RAM that will work for the new motherboard and i was wondering if i had more then 4 gb of RAM if it would help the computer to go faster even if i dont have a 64 bit processor.

Lets start with what CPU do you have?
And what is your current motherboard?

Yes . . be sure to replace the thermal compound between the Heatsind and Processor.

info on thermal compound

The manual with with the new board will show how/where the connections go.
