Re: soon to be new build

Will be using this computer for photo editing, dvd/cd burning like home movies and music, some online game playing like World of Warcraft and Starcraft 3,
internet browsing and occasional movie watching some homework for the kids

Re: soon to be new build

Ok, everything seems DECENT but you can do way better. Seeing how you are doing movies and dvd's etc in a few years you wish you would have bought a blu ray burner, so think about that. You should really upgrade the CPU and a bigger HD maybe an extra $100 total. Also I didn't see a PSU (unless I am blind). Also add 4 gigs of RAM and the RAM you choose is meant for overclocking if don't plan on OC'ing then maybe change it but it doesn't matter really

Better CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115037
Bigger HD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152100
Blue Ray: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136155
More RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148150

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227364

Either one, both good get the 2nd one if you want to OC the 1st if you don't
Those videos will take up about a gig a piece and a game is a gig+. It adds up. If you don't have a PSU chosen, I suggest this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005

Those will suit you alot better

Re: soon to be new build

Case and power supply combos are not the way to go, buy a case without a power supply and then a quality supply to fit your needs.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119068

Both of these are 80% plus certed and Quiet
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005

The midrange ATI Video cards are better then the Nvidia cards in my opinion
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125244

For what you want to use the PC for use the DDR2 800 speed Ram it will server you fine with no hassles. the E7400 is a good CPU the E8400 is better for gaming if the budget allows.
