The WD Caviar 320GB hard drive only has an 8mb cache. Look for one with 16 or 32MB for about the same price.

I wouldn't recommend using a $20 Sunbeam PSU. It might say 580W on the label, but it won't provide anyway near that figure under stress, and it only has 25 amps on the +12V line.

Will you be using the onboard GeForce 6100, or do you plan on installing a PCIE card at a later date?

It looks good enough to run Ubuntu, which is much less demanding than Vista.

Will do for the hd. And i think the sunbeam is better then the stocker 300w right? and no im planning on the 6100 stocker.

It will be better than the Austin 285W PSU that comes with the case, but possibly not suitable if you plan on using the computer for fullscreen games or other graphically-intensive apps, or if you plan on adding any more hardware in the future.

To see your computer's power requirements, enter your full system specs into this power calculator and set Capacitor Aging to 25%. Click the Calculate button, then add 40% to the total to allow for PSU inefficiency.

I just added a 1tb 16mb cache 7200 rpm sata for 90!
