Build gone wrong

Lets see i felt like finnaly upgrading my computer mostly cause i got a free gtx 280 from a friend so i got a new mobo ram dvd burnner proccesor power supply and threw it all together and when i went to fire it up it all turned on but i got no vga out put on either the on board or the 280 and i tried both sepratly inluding th onboard with the 280 removed i have swaped proccesors and ram and such andi cant seems to get it to work i think its a bad mobo so before i retuned my mobo i was wondering about what dou you guys think it may be theres are the parts i got inside it

pc chips p53g mobo

4 gig ddr2 667 ram (2x2g)

the gtx280

Power supply i forgot what it was but i did all the reasearch and it can run the 280 in sli and then some so i know thats not the problem

old 80 hd ( i wasnt gonna throw in my good two till it got working)

and an intel 7400 c2d proccesor with stock heatsink(once again once it gets running ill put on a better one and overclock it but i want it all to work stock first)

and i think thats all so hopefully you guys can help thanks in advanced

Please give us all the details including the power supply brand name and watts info so we have enough information to make a reasonable conclusion as we search for answers.

Re: Build gone wrong

I would say bad motherboard .............. Pchips is rather shaky on dependability ..........

send that one bad .............. maybe you can bump up to a Gigabyte GA-EP45-Ds3L ($99.00) world of improvement there ............. especially if you are a gamer !
