I'm thinking of a new build to replace my now ancient AMD athlon XP2200 system. I have been doing some research and spent a few days reading threads here, so what about this:

Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R
Intel Core2Duo 8500
PC Power and cooling S-75CF 750W PSU
G.Skill 4 gig (2x2) DDR2 1066 SDRAM Dual channel kit
Coolermaster Centurion 5CAC-TO5 Case
Western Digital Caviar 320 gig SATA HD
LG DVD Multidrive SATA
Video card-Thinking of this combo on newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.160260 or ?

Thanks in advance for all your advice to others that helped me so far.

Re: Tired of lagging

wow impressive .................... hit the buy button !

jsut make sure any ram you choose is rated for 2.0 volts or 2.1 volts ........... then later on when you get twitchy you will be able to overclock that puppy to 4.0 / 4.2 ghz rather easily and the only money that will need to be spent at that time is for a better cpu heat sink cooler ............ but that time you wont care about spending another $50.00 :) ............. well done
