My System

New Build, got some parts

I have received my power supply, case and monitor and am waiting on the rest of my system but I would like to hook up the fans in the case and make sure they work. I'm completely new to building computers so before I start plugging things in I want to know how many fans I can hook to one molex power connector. The fan connectors are two sided, with a male connector on one end, and female connector on the opposite. Can I connect multiple fans in series and then connect the chain to the PSU?

Specs if necessary:
Antec 1200
-5 120mm
-1 200mm
Corsair 750tx 750w PSU

Re: New Build, got some parts

yup 1 molex should power all those but i would break it up into 2 just cause ya can. Put the top 200mm and the 2 back 120mm's on 1 and the front three 120mm's on another. Also I suggest waiting until your mobo and all is installed just cause you cant really be sure how all your cabling is going to run so if you do it now you may zip tie something that you have to redo or something of the like. The 1200 is a great case so enjoy your build.

Re: New Build, got some parts

Thanks for quick reply. I'm not going to go cable managing everything or even mount the PSU, just gonna set it in there and test to make sure the fans run and then move to bench testing everything else
