Hardrive problems... maybe

Im still waiting for my windows vist to get here but iv noticed after turning on the computer for like less then even second it saids "hard drive not detected" wuut? soo any sugestions on trouble shooting a new hard drive with out a OS installed?

sea gate barracuda 1.5tb sata hdd

Go into your bios, it should be right there. The model number of the drive should show as being sata0. You can also go into your boot order and it should show the model when you select the device to boot from 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
Any problems, reseat your connections at the back of the drive as well as the connection to the sata port on the motherboard.. Don't just wiggle them, unplug them and replug them firmly. Then try again, of course.

A new drive that is not formatted will show that error until you format it during the OS install.
