Re: will a OCZ StealthExtreme 600w PSU run These Specs
While that power supply might run that video card and do well for you, the greater possibility is that power will wane enough over time to cause the power supply to have a diminished output and thereby generate some heat on components. We all know that heat kills and that the lack of a strong power source can damage sensitive electronic components.
In addition, general computer performance suffers when the power supply is pushing to keep up. I really like this power supply, but to be quite honest, it will have to really hustle to give your rig enough power to work well with the demands on it. I think what Wrench is saying is that for your own protection, you need to provide enough strong power to be safe rather than sorry. You have to make that final choice, but I too share his concern about the dangers of being underpowered. That is my opinion and I hope it works for you with no difficulties.

Re: will a OCZ StealthExtreme 600w PSU run These Specs
In your situation, I would use it for now, but be very careful to watch for those signs of the lack of power. If you see those overt signs, then either put a lessor video card in there to use for a bit until you get the cash. Just don't risk harming other computer components if it isn't performing. I am confident you will know when it is lacking power so just be careful.
When you are ready to purchase a larger power supply, maybe we (any hardware team member) can assist you to get a decent price for a great power supply.

Re: [SOLVED] will a OCZ StealthExtreme 600w PSU run These Specs
use more cases fans with high rpm's to increase the case air flow .......... like the thermaltake smart-fan 2 120mm ................. if the psu is not sucking in hot air from the video card and other parts it will last alot longer !
