Selecting new parts for a build
Budget: Near $500.00
Brands: No preference Multitasking: Other than having multiple firefox windows, microsoft word, and antiviral programs - not much. Gaming: No gaming other than the occasional flash Calculations: No Overclocking: No Storage: Pictures and random files - shouldn't need more than about 300gigs of hard drive space. Legacy Support: No Operating System: Will be using a copy of vista ultimate 32 bit Accessories: N/A Monitor: N/A Stores: Would prefer just to get the lowest price possible from the most reputable sources. IE - newegg Location: USA I recently received a free motherboard and case from a grant at my high school and would like to use them to build a computer for my parents as they're using a piece of junk from around 2000. Case - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...430&CatId=1859 Mobo - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...85&Tpk=GF8200A Using around $500.00 I'd like it to be capable of being quick and easy for everyday use including the internet, microsoft office applications, and random photo editing here and there. Thanks a lot! |

Re: Selecting new parts for a build
This is based on using the integrated video on the motherboard and since you already have a copy of vista it's pretty cheap.
