Need a little help with compatibility

Yo, I was wondering if I could get a little help with the compatibility of these parts. Any help would be crazy appreciated.

This is what I've got goin' so far:

Case: Antec Twelve Hundred

Power Supply: Antec NeoPower 650 Blue 650W SLI Certified CrossFire Ready

Motherboard: ASUS P5Q-E LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Video Card: ASUS EAH4850 TOP/HTDI/512M Radeon HD 4850

HD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500AAKS 250GB 7200 RPM

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz 12MB L2 Cache

Memory: CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

Also, if you could recommend a DVD drive/burner, or if you know of some better parts, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a bunch for the help,

Dan

Re: Need a little help with compatibility

Sorry, I missed the sticky.

I'm trying to keep it cheap, but am willing to spend some.

I don't plan on doing any hardcore multitasking.

Gaming is probably my number one concern.

I shouldn't be overclocking, I would probably set something on fire anyway.

Storage isn't important, so less is better.

I'll probably break down and get vista, but I'm still a little torn between vista and XP.

Also, this is the monitor I've chosen:

ASUS VH226H Black 21.5" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen 16:9 Full HD 1080P LCD Monitor

Thanks again for the help,

Dan

Re: Need a little help with compatibility

The only thing I would change is the PSU Antec's are not as good as they once were since changing the suppliers of their internals last year.
Seasonic - any model
Corsair - any model
Thermaltake - "Toughpower" series only
Coolermaster - "Real Power Pro" series only
PC Power & Cooling - any model
Silverstone - any model

The Q9550 is a decent Quad but you can get better performance in games from the E8500 for less.

For a DVD Burner The Liteon is a good drive, The Sony is quieter > http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136152

Re: Need a little help with compatibility

Sweet, thanks for all the help. I'm pretty much new to this computer building racket, so this is all new territory. I'll definitely look into the different PSUs and processor.

Thanks again,

Dan
