I am building a new computer for my aunt, I won't get into any details but she really needs a new one. I just want to check up with you guys to make sure every thing is set to go, or if you got any other suggestions.

She is a compete noob when it computers and we live kinda far apart so its important that this system dosn't have any problems. |

Re: Another Buget build
XP home, linux isn't for the PC challenged the updates in windows are much easier then in linux give her xp home, firefox and open office.
A 4 pin molex to sata power converter comes with the MB you will need to use it with that psu because the 2 sata power connectors are meant for 2 drives stacked next to each other and won't reach the HD and DVD drive. I have mixed feelings on the PSU I have used it for replacements on integrated systems and it seems to be reliable if it's not doa I've had 2 doa units awhile back but no failures out of about 10 I've used if it worked out of the box, lately all I've been using are 80% efficient units from PCP&C like the PPCS420X on a system like this. If she has a lot of pictures maybe a 250Gig would be a better choice and make sure you show her and reinforce the importance of backing them up to a CD, you don't want the phone call that says I can't get to any of my pictures:) |

Re: Another Buget build
Alright I think the 150gb will suffice for her considering her previous computer only had 35gb, and I'm going to go ahead and put XP home on it. I think Im going to stick with that power supply if its reliable, its not exactly the most efficient PSU but then again her computer isn't exactly the most demanding.
