Need Recomendations

Hey everyone.. I just recieved 1300 dollars for Christmas and I am looking into buying a new desktop computer. I'm leaving towards an HP because I believe that they are a step up from Dell. I did the custom build thing on HPs site and came up with this. It is within my budget but I'm not sure if I need this much and I dont wanna go over the top for something that I'm gonna have to upgrade every other year. I'll probably play games like WoW, CoD, Fable 2 etc. Here's my system that I have so far.

Operating system Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit) edit
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad processor Q9300 (2.5GHz) edit
Memory FREE UPGRADE! To 4GB DDR2-800MHz dual channel SDRAM (4x1024) from 2GB edit
Graphics card 768MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600GS [DVI, VGA, HDMI] edit

Sound Card Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio edit

Your additional options:
Click edit to modify. NOTE: These items are in stock and will ship immediately.

If this is too much can someone please make me one on the HP site and link it in the thread please? Thank you.

Re: Need Recomendations

Hello and Merry christmas,
I always recommand to build a custom PC especially if you want to play the latest games, do not rely on pre-built PCs and if you want to upgrade later on. I think MCNinjaguy will help you to find the best parts for your Custom Built PC, but you can get better than that GPU, I mean the 9600GS maybe the 9800 GT or the new 280 GTX
the CPU if fine and the RAM are good too, and remember to get a very good PSU (700 W and above) and with good Amps under the12 V (30A)
good luck

Re: Need Recomendations

I'm not so good with computers. I feel like if I bought a ton of custom parts I would end up messing it up.

Re: Need Recomendations

Another problem with buying custom parts would be that I would end up buying stuff that wasnt compatible and I would still have a problem lol.
