Im new :p need help

Ok I have an emachines T3265 only ive updated to a 6600 gforce nvidia grafix card and 1g ram. I'm looking at updating the proccesor to a duel core or quad core but when i look at these proccesors i rly dont know what im looking at. I dont know what would fit my computer and i was looking for help to know what im looking at and what would fit my computer ^^ thanks for the help.

P.s. When i say i dont know what im looking at i mean i have no idea what it means as in wat it needs to fit basicly

your cpu is a socket A which is rather dated ............. if would be very foolish to invest money into this rig .............. you would be much better served buying a part every couple weeks until you can assemble a new rig .............. about $700.00 will get the job done very nicely!

cruz ebay for a used Dell optiplex with pentium D ............. they are about $300.00 and would be much smarter than spending money on one sooooo old ...............
