Maintenance question

So I'm not really sure this question goes in here... but I didn't see it fit better under any other category, so here goes:

I actually built my computer about 6 months ago (many thanks to TSF), and I was wondering how I would go about cleaning it out (physically) to make sure everything is still working in tip-top shape.

My case is an antec 900, the one with the giant top fan. Would you guys foresee any problems if I just remove the case, and blow canned air at everything I see? Is there anything else I can/should do?

Thanks.

Re: Maintenance question

re-apply heat sink on your cpu .. make sure all fans are running smoothly and aren't clogged with dust. Besides that more bunny killing then anything.

Re: Maintenance question

I would not reapply the heatsink unless you are experiencing high CPU temps . . Otherwise, a can of air will do wonders!

Re: Maintenance question

Yea... just reapplying thermal paste isnt a good idea unless you have high temps. Make sure all of the fans are running smoothly, there is no major dust buildup in the HD cages, CPU heatsink, and near the PSU.

You could always route your wires through the holes in the back to the other side. A lot of wires could go under the bottom HD cage.

I'd blow the dust out every month or so to keep airflow down.
