Unstable new system

Hi, I recently built a new system and have passed all the hardware issues....so I'm running various tests and it seems that when running at load on high-graphics programs, the system crashes out. Since this pc is built for a customer with gaming in mind....it's going to prove a problem. The temperature readings seem to be too high...however the motherboard doesn't seem too hot, infact it's pretty cool to the touch. The temperature readings are listed at the end. The system is as follows-

ASUS P5NE-SLi motherboard
Thermaltake Toughpower 750w PSU
4 gb a-data ddrII ram
Intel q660 quad 2.4ghz processor
2x PointofView NVidia 8800gt's in SLi
350gb maxtor HDD
Running Windows XP Pro.

since I suspect this is a cooling problem, cooling devices are as follows-

CPU- Zalman CNPS 9500
Northbridge-stock
Southbridge- Akasa AK VCX Heatsink
Rear 120mm fan
Side 80mm case fan.

Temperatures reported from the motherboard's monitoring system, the ASUS PC Probe II.

IDLE
cpu- 39/40 degrees C.
motherboard- 46 degrees C.

LOAD
cpu- 43 degrees C
motherboard- 51 degrees C.

I have plenty of cpu and case cooling....could it possibly be the GPUs heating up? If so, how do I check and what can I get to replace the stock coolers?

Re: Unstable new system

you have a decent system put together there except the ram sticks ........... are poor

I would run memtest two hours per test .................. only test the sticks one at a time on the motherboard .......... never test more than one stick at a time

this is a bootable CD ISO you want to make and then boot into it

http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

keep us posted ....... if you pass that ............. then we can head into the bootable DOS world of cpu stress testing !

Re: Unstable new system

check temps in the bios ............. asus probe has a horrible reputation

or use sensorsview pro (30 day trial) while in windows

use orthos while in windows to stress test the system and watch the temps with sensorsview

and core temp monitor
