Looking to build a PC for about £350(ish)

(I'm sort of new to the whole PC building scene so bare with me on this one ^^)

So I have a fairly old family PC that gets me by but I'm after building something for my self with a bit more kick,

I would mainly be using it for gaming (currently playing CSS, Left4Dead and BF2 but i wouldn't mind been able to at least run more demanding games) and i have no intention of overclocking...due to the fact that i have no idea of the effects this could have on the computer ^^

I've got my mate to run me up a list of what he recons will do the job but i just thought I would run it past you guys first just so i know that its all gonna work ok :)

1) PowerColor HD 4830 512MB GDDR3 DVI VGA HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card

2) Corsair 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Non-ECC Unbuffered CL5 Lifetime Warranty

3) ASUS P5B-VM SE iG965 Socket 775 Socket onboard VGA 6 Channel Audio mATX motherboard

4) Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 Socket 775 2.4GHz (800MHz) L2 2MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor

5) LiteOn 16x16 DVD±RW/RAM DL Lightscribe Black - Bare OEM

6) Extra Value 550W ATX Silent Neon PSU - 12cm Fan/PPFC (no power cord)

7) Casecom Black Mid Tower Case - Front Blue LED 120mm Fan - With Side Window

8) Western Digital WD1600AAJS 160GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 8MB Cache - OEM

Is everything there that i need? i have a copy of Vista that i would use and i have a mouse, keyboard and monitor. As you can tell from the list i plan on purchasing all the gear from Ebuyer but if there's any other decent sites that have the stuff i need then let us know

Noooooooooo!!!!!!
The power supply is the heart of the machine!! You should skimp on something else (like the RAM, you only need 2 Gb to start) and make sure you have a reliable and healthy ticker at its centre!!
Read this post, then select one power supply from the Gaming list at the bottom.
I cant stress enough how important it is to buy quality with power supplies!!

You may also find that your fans are loud and annoying with that case too.
If you do buy that case and decide to change them, choose Thermaltake and/or Antec Tricool.

Any, although the Corsairs get recommended a lot. I just bought a Thermaltake toughpower 750W for £50, shop around.
