Got a question about an idea I had
When I get ready to build my computer I am gonna buy a smaller hard drive and just put my OS on it and buy 1 or 2 hard drives for everything else. Would that benefit me in any way?

Re: Got a question about an idea I had
It will help some on boot up, but really, it is my opinion that it won't make that much of a difference in the whole scheme of things. I just never do that because I don't see the real cost/benefit ration of a dedicated hard drive for the OS alone. That is my opinion.

Re: Got a question about an idea I had
That is what I do...And My benefit is that as well as faster boot up...If I run into trouble. I can Wipe C: drive, reinstall the operating system, install my programs...and be up and running again in about five hours time...Being reassured that my C: drive is clean.
Much faster than the time it takes to get help from the high Jack this section of any forum. Currently... though I just partition a larger drive getting the same results. |
