Building a PC in the UK for £600? Possible?
Hi all - I've got £600 to burn and I desperately need a new computer - my current laptop has integrated graphics and an 80GB HDD, it's horrible!
Anyway, I suppose you guys know more than me, so I would like: A Desktop PC, with decent (500GB+) HDD, Excellent graphics (like, top end), unbelievably fast processor, above 2GB of RAM. What it does not need: An OS, a Screen, A Keyboard, a Mouse. Just the tower! Thanks in advance. Will |

Re: Building a PC in the UK for £600? Possible?
Hi there,
You should be able to produce a half decent system for about £250.... Add onto that a decent graphics card and decent processor and you will be well in budget. The expensive bits as far as I can see would just be the graphics card really... Hard drives are ridiculously cheap these days, as are cases and memory. There are a few good websites out there that can provide the components necessary. I generally use a combination of ebuyer, scan.co.uk and aria.co.uk for parts..... they all serve me well!
