Help with building gaming computer!
Hello, I'm planning on purchasing a new computer, I want a pretty good gaming computer with an i7 Processor. My budget is $1,500 to $1,800 dollars. I'm thinking about just building my own, but I have no clue where to start on parts? Would it be easier to buy a pre-built on newegg?

Re: Help with building gaming computer!
There not that high only 3 out at the moment $300, $550, $1060 > http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ame=LGA%201366
But the motherboards and tri channel DDR3 will eat up that budget in no time. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ame=LGA%201366 Ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...20(3%20x%202GB) From all I read so far the i7 isn't a revolutionary leap and the lower end does not have an edge over current hardware (E8500 on a P45) |

Re: Help with building gaming computer!
Look at the 2 Core Duo E8500 with either the P45 or X48 system. You will have a terrific gaming system and be well within your budget.
By all means, build your on. Great fun and a terrific learning experience. With the help from this forum and the internet, you will not have any trouble. Also great pride in the fact that you created the system.
