PC Upgrade - Advice Sort

Hey guys my second thread on this forum. I have decided against buying a new everything and decided to re-use some of what I currently have on this machine.

Currently I am running on:
OS: XP SP3 32bit
Mobo: Foxxconn 945 7MD Series
CPU: Intel Duo Core E2140 1.6GHz
RAM: 2GB DDR2
GFX: Nvidia 8500GT
HD: Maxtor 250GB
PSU: Octigen 300W

Here is a picture of the inside of my case.

http://upload.wowbucket.com/uploads/1227286743.jpg - Trusted site quicker than the other image upload sites I have been on :) Not greatest quality pic in the world either.

I am hoping I do not have to buy a new case. I am looking into buying the following this christmas.

-Intel Duo Core E8500
-4GB Corsair DDR2
-Nvidia 9800 512MB or Radeon 4850 512MB
-Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1

If you guys wouldn't mind I would like some advice.

.Will my current Mobo be able to fit a E8500 - 9800GT - Soundcard?

.I have guessed that if I manage to fit all my new parts my PSU will fail at 300W, so do you guys know any decent PSU's that will run my new system nicely without being too expensive?

.I will check myself later on, but from first glance (From the Pic) Do you think the 9800 will fit, as I have heard it is quite abit longer than it's predocessors.

.Finally is there any special way to keep the system *clean* like any way to specially dust it?

Thankyou if you have taken time to answer :]] Even better if you would like to talk on msn for 5mins to help me would appriciate it.

chris.glasby@live.co.uk - Cheers

You may have to move the Hard Drive up or down but I think the card will fit in your case.

Seasonic - any model
Corsair - any model
Thermaltake - "Toughpower" series only
Coolermaster - "Real Power Pro" series only
PC Power & Cooling - any model
Silverstone - any model

To clean the dust out a Vacuum cleaner and a can of compressed air available at office supply stores.

Re: PC Upgrade - Advice Sort

Thankyou alot bud :)

Well since this I've actually gone and replaced everything :/ But should make half back selling my old kit.

I've gone with:

NZXT Mid Tower
Gigabyte GA EP45 UD3R
E8500
MSI 9800GT
Western Digital 500GB 32MB Cache
Corsair 4GB DDR2
LG DVDR 2MB Cache 22X
Antec Neopower 650W
Creative Sound Blaster 7.1
Acer 22''

All this will come to £615 - I am hoping I will get around £200 from old parts so this is a good deal imo:)

Thankyou so much for your help really helped me out matey

Re: PC Upgrade - Advice Sort

See if you can get a corsair 650tx or a coolermaster real power pro model 650w instead of the psu selected they are not what they used to be as far as quailty.
