need help new at this
i am kinda new so bare with me pls i am wanting to build a gaming pc well upgrade what i have this is what i got
motherboard is a nvidia nforce 780sli os is vista 64 bit video card nvidia geforce 8800 gtx 8 gig of ram 4 of the 8 are patriot and the other 4 are ocz pcu is an intel core 2 quad q 6600 hard drive s are both seagate 250 gig and a 750 gig powered by a 1000 watt coolmaster power suply housed in a coolmaster cmstacker case my question is should i go amd for gamming some one told me i should any replys would be greatly appreciated |

check your motherboard manufacturers website for cpu compatability ........ see if you can use the 1333mhz FSB cpu's like the E8500 or E8600

thank-you BTW: if your 780 chipset motherboard cant accept a 1333mhz FSB cpu ...... then I would look to the Intel P45 chipset
