Re: I need help building my first laptop

There are not a lot of options for building a laptop it's the nature of the beast laptops are about low power consumption and controlling heat, conserving space and weight.
Finding MXM cards is also a problem as most manufacturers use modified MXM video cards for space or power consumption reasons

Here is a couple of sites to start with > http://www.directron.com/nbbarebone.html

Personally I think your better off buying an HP with what you want in it by customizing it on the HP web site > http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/cto.do
