Help a peon with a build plz

Here's what I’m attempting to build:

- DFI LP DK 790GX-M2RS AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX ATX AMD Motherboard
- AMD Phenom 8750 Toliman 2.4GHz Socket AM2+ 95W Triple-Core Black Edition Processor
- Western Digital Caviar Black WD5001AALS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
- EVGA 512-P3-N878-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ SSC Edition 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
- OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
- CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply
- LG 22X DVD±R DVD Burner Black SATA
- Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card
- XION Solaris XON-403 Black with Green LED Light Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

My budget is just under 1k after shipping etc etc.. No software is needed.

I'm thinking this system is great, but i've been out of the game for awhile so i'm needing some advice if my thoughts are correct.

Main use will be for WoW (d3 when ever that comes out with SC2) and a few FPS

The products i choose were basically because of loyalty and knowing those brands have stood up for me in the past. DFI, AMD and EVGA

Please help, i'm wanting to have this together by Sunday to order :)

Re: Help a peon with a build plz

thanks wrench, after reading the other post i'll go intel E8400. I'm now increased the cost and needing to change the motherboard. Most likely i'll be needing to change the memory as well.
Is the PSU to much for the system? Lowering it is not a biggie for me

Actually for a GTX+ I usually like to see 700-750w you want run the PSU in the 60-80% load range to keep heat down and long life of all the components.

My System

Re: Help a peon with a build plz

I just put together (built) my first computer...with the help of the people on this forum. To say I am pleased is an understatement.

The 750 Corsair PSU...comes with a whole slew of wires (that one may not use) that need to be put out of the way. Fortunately the case I purchased provided a place for this.

An ordinary case would have caused problems.
