Building a pc for gaming (RTS games such as Starcraft2)
i want a SLI mobo
260GTX? 2x2gb?(i will be running on XP 32, well some ppl said it will dmg the ram coz XP only recognizes up to 2.99GHZ) e8500 Corsair 750WPSU? coz probably i will go SLI in the future... is 750W enought for 2 260GTX (pls tell me if it is enuf for 2 280GTX as well, thanks) thanks in advance.. |

2 GTX280 will need at least 1000w and unless your using at least a 42" will be a real waste for either the 260 or the 280 in SLI and may even slow the game down.
4 Gig will run fine on XP 32 bit you will normally see from 3 to 3.4gig but windows can address the upper memory areas for system devices. Your only choice for SLI is a Nvidia chipset and the 7xx series is buggy and very memory picky. |
