Mobo / Post / Hardware problem..
I went and got all the parts at computers plus to build a complete system 2 days ago. Everything went together well, no fitment issues etc.
Got it all together and tried to boot. It turned on, everything seemed like it was gonna go well. Til I realized there was no display present. It seems like its getting in to post, but I can't see anything. I figured it was the video card. So I went and bought an 8800gt(I was using my brothers 8600 before). Didn't help anything. So numerous hours later, after testing basicly everything. Nothing works. I purchased the 2 year warranty with the mobo so I'm not real worried. Just really like this mobo and would like to get it to work if possible. System specs: Asus p5n-d mobo Intel core 2 quad 6600 2.4ghz 2x1gb kingston dual channel kit Western digital caviar 160gig hd PNY 8800gt 512mb Apevia 680w psu Thermaltake ORB heatsink Antec gamer 900 case I'm assuming its the mobo that's causing the problem Any ideas would be great, but I've probably already done alot of the troubleshooting techniques. Thanks! Last edited by AaronStewart009; 09-25-2008 at 09:33 PM. |

Re: Mobo / Post / Hardware problem..
Thanks for the response.
I already did the bench test about 8 times, for some reason I expected different results everytime. Pretty sure the mobo is shot, pci-e slot might be fried on it. |
