Gaming computer
It was my birthday yesterday so for my present I can buy a new computer. I have about 1000 dollars to spend. It will be used almost solely for gaming. I currently have a monitor and a mouse I can use but will need almost everything else. I was hoping someone could build me one on Ibuypower or a similar site.
Thanks in advance Master12 |

Re: Gaming computer
Heres what i did when my parents said I could get a knew gaming computer for under 700$ (ridiculous I know) so I research a bit and I found that building one would be cheaper than a store bought one but it still did not make the cut off. So i ended up buying a PS3 and installing an alternate OS on it called Ubuntu Gusty Gibbon (linux). In my opinion I prefer linux over windows any day and it works great on the PS3.

Re: Gaming computer
I got a ps3 already and I don't know how to build my own computer. I was hoping I could get a computer from a website like Ibuypower that will play the best games and at least last me a few years playing the top games. So unless this can't be done can someone help me out.

Re: Gaming computer
Ibuypower, seems like a cool site for those looking to customize there own computer. I would go with an AMD processor probably x3 or x4 depending on how long you are looking at using it and the antec900 is probably the best case to go with.I would recremend at least 4G of ram. When comes to the motherboard and and graphics card im clueless, sorry.

Re: Gaming computer
It's seems a decent system I would change the ram to 2x 2Gig sticks from 4x 1 Gig sticks
Motherboards seem to like 2 sticks better than 4 sometimes. The 650w Psu is a good choice for the card just remember if you ever want to go to a HD4870 you may need to up it but the $65.00 price difference is a little steep considering the 650W is $89.00 and the 750w is $97.00 But other than that it's good. |

Re: Gaming computer
I liked the build you picked out Im sure u will enjoy it. Just one thing you might want to consider a better mouse or keyboard if you are going to be doing some gaming. But don't take my advise i have never gamed on a computer before.
Let me know if this site worked ok for you and if you were satisfied with the build. |
