Re: first time builder looking for advice

oh yeah, it is a great case for even experienced builders, and for novices, even beginners, it might be a bit expesive ($100), but it is worth every penny and more, it is very roomy, has great ventilation, it is great, i would strongly suggest you buy it, because i am going to definitaly when i get the money(i just spent $75 on a core 2 duo processor for my new gamign rig)but dont be intimidated and go buy the 12000 case(the newer on) it has many problems and can be a hassle, the 900 is great size, ventilation and easy for everyone)

Re: first time builder looking for advice

Ok so here is what i came up with let me know if i should upgrade the cd/dvd drive ir the cpu cooler really not to sure. Also would i be better off with the e8600 proccessor or stick to the e8500, i mean will i notice a major difference i realize there is a price difference. i would rather pay more for a computer that rocks then have to replace parts in a year.

Re: first time builder looking for advice

Add 1 of these to assemble with(better than the paste you get).
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835100007

Did I miss it or didn't you list a hard drive?

For a cost effective monitor these are pretty good, But I suggest you find a store to view them with your eyes get the brand and model and search for the best price online,

Re: first time builder looking for advice

The Raptor drive is an expensive option that with 4Gig of ram I think you'll find unnecessary.
