I have a problem with a clean install of XP pro on a new build.
I initially installed XP on one of two installed 320GB Seagates. It worked well. I then did a new clean install with a Raid 1 designation. The install accepted the raid and went well untill it began to copy files. It then slowed down to a crawl (2 % after 3 hours). It then began to not copy files. I cancelled the install. I had partitioned 20GB for the OS and 40GB for programs. I have a EVGA 680i, Intel duo core, 2GBRam, two Asus DVD/CD drives, 1 floppy and a 7900GS video card. Any thoughts on where my problem may be? Posts I've read talk about CD/DVD problem, memory issues etc. Thanks for any suggestions. |
