Am I running in Dual or Single Channel Mode?
I’ve just built a new computer, however I’m having trouble understanding the dual channel RAM configuration. If you refer to the attached image, I have currently installed my 2 DIMMS in A1 and A2. I can’t work out if the pairing is associated by the letter (A/B), number (1/2) or colour (black/yellow). If I am to run these DIMMs as dual channel, where should they go?
I think maybe one DIMM should be in A1, and the other in B1? Just out of curiosity, If I am running in single channel mode, how much performance improvement should I notice in dual-channel mode? |
