Yet Another First Time Builder!

Hey everyone.

I decided to build my computer, and I have already found the parts necessary, but I want to be sure that they are compatible and what not before I order them.

The parts I have are...

Power Supply

Chassis
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811124121

Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115037

RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231184

Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152100

CD/DVD Drive(s)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106038
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827135156

Graphics Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814122049

Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136053

Monitor

My budget is around $1000 or so, so if anyone knows where I could get some of these parts cheaper, that would be greatly appreciated.

And if anyone has suggestions for other parts that I should get instead of those listed above, I'd like to hear those too.

Thankya!

Re: Yet Another First Time Builder!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I'm attempting to build a decent gaming computer, for about 1000 dollars. I have 2000 to spend but i'm only willing to spend about 1000 to 1100 dollars on this desktop, although I suppose I could go a bit over if necessary.

Thankya again!

Your doing pretty good just a note EVGA offers a lifetime warranty if you register their video card.

You may want to have a look at this PSU

Re: Yet Another First Time Builder!

with a budget of 1000-1100, it would be a shame to settle for a 9600gt. For only 50$ more, get a Radeon HD 4850. You adjust for this by getting an Antec nine hundred case - about 60$ cheaper and really cool (literally - tons of fans.)

I agree the Antec 900 is a very nice case.

Re: Yet Another First Time Builder!

The e8500 is only $20 more than the e8400 (used to be $80 more I believe). I would spend the extra $20 to get the extra .16ghz.
