Need help picking out a desktop and onw display Question

Hey Guys where or how can i get a really good Desktop that doesnt run Vista. that i can get under 1, 300 dollars Like Gaming Comp. Like Gateway . or IDK... and when showing me please give link...

And now for the question: I have a Samsung 42 Inch. Can i use that as a moniter? and using what cords... ?

Assuming it's a hi-def television, you could probably use it as a monitor with a HDMI cable. (with the right video card)
