New pc build, parts check.
Ok, after a long time of thinking and talking to people, ive narrowed down some parts.. some still are'nt great as im still not sure on what best i can get for my money. My budget is around £600 ($1200~), depending on if i can sell my old pc.
Heres what ive come up with, i want to see if they are all compatible and work well together, and if anything i can improve within my price budget: Pro: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz S775 http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx...ationKey=11147 Motherboard: Asus P5K-E/WIFI-AP Socket 775 http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...=p5k-e/wifi-ap Memory: 2x Kingston HyperX 2GB (2x1GB) 800MHz PC2-6400 DDR2 http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...6400d2llk2/2gn Harddrive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB Hard Drive http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...id=st3500320as Graphics: 512MB XFX GeForce 8600GT http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...d=pv-t84j-yajg Vista (64bit) OEM PSU: Corsair Memory 650W TX SERIES ATX http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx...11259,49450000 Cooling: Scythe Mine Rev B http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...&tid=scmn-1100 Case: Unsure - Want realy quite cooling as preferance : £45 budget ($90) Just want to know: are they compatible, will they run fast system, are they adiquate, and if i can upgrade any of the parts within ($15) of each componant. Thanks |

Re: New pc build, parts check.
nice board and nice specs ........ I would get the Intel E8400 instead of the Quad unless you are into video encoding or commericial grafix productions ........ if you are a gamer then the E8400 is a better choice
