power supply and motherbord please respond. please.......
i am building a new comp. i am using the Cosmos 1100 Case and the ASUS P5Q motheboard and a Corsair 750W supply. I am confused regarding how to give connections from the power supply to the board and the case.
The case has a 24 pin connector and power supply also has a 24 pin . has anybody used a Similar combination in building. Can some body tell me how to connect them. I am using a 3870X2 graphics card. Which PCI-E slot the Board should i be using. Please respond. Your help is highly appreciated. Thank you |

Re: power supply and motherbord please respond. please.......
when you say the case has a 24 pin and the power supply has a 24 pin have by any chance got this mixed around with the motherboard. As the 24 pin from the power supply connects into the 24 pin connection on the motherboard.
I usually use the PCI-E slot nearest to the CPU as this is the master slot (i think) and the other PCI-E slot is a slave slot (again i think) |

Are you talking about the front panel connector?
Or if you can find it in the manual can you tell us what page it's on? http://www.coolermaster.com/uploads/...1978542187.pdf

Re: power supply and motherbord please respond. please.......
It is in page 10 under cable management the 24 pin mother board connector. the case has a motherboard connector. there is only one 24-pin slot on motherboard.
i think i choose the wrong PSU also. iam confused about the connections between the PSu, case and motherboard. Any site has any pictures on how to do the connections. |

Now I can't get to the manual. Where does the connector on the go? Is it just a jumper to make the main PSU cable longer?

Re: power supply and motherbord please respond. please.......
They can be hard to get on if you want to try it maybe now that you've mounted the stock
cooler it maybe a little easier if you do fasten one side then diagonally accross the other side then back to the first side.
