Grin System Build - CPU to Motherboard

Hi guys thanks for all the great advice so far on upgrades etc.

I have been crunching some numbers matching CPU's to motherboards and RAM

Would this system match well;

MOB - XFX nforce 680i LT, FSB=1333MHz, support up to 800 DDR2
CPU - Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz @ 1066 MHz bus speed (E7200), socket 775
MEM - 2GB (2x1GB DDR2 667) for starters.

would I need at least a 600W PSU to run this?

would look at min GPU of geforce 8500 GT 256MB

Cheers jacoaj.

Re: System Build - CPU to Motherboard

Do you have a specific budget in mind? That would help to balance parts and price...

For memory the price difference between DDR2667 and DDR2800 is so small that I would go with DDR2800.

If you are sticking with a single card, and getting a 9600gt or below, a 500-600 watt quality PSU will more than handle your needs. Look for Seasonic, corsair, FSP, PC power and cooling, thermaltake toughpower etc.
