Final Build -
Sorry for double post.
This is my current build and I need all opinions / facts / concerns, etc. Motherboard: EVGA 650i Ultra PSU: Thermaltake PurePower WU100RU Case: Thermaltake Video: GeForce 7600 GT OC Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz HDD: Barracuda 120GB 7200.10 RPM SATA I also have CD-RW / DVD-RW Drives, Keyboard , Mouse, and Monitor. I realize that for gaming I will need to upgrade my video. PC is for Video, Gaming, Media Editing, etc. Main concerns: Do I have enough power? Am I in danger of frying any of my parts? Will the stock cooler for the Wolfdale and the two 120 mm fans be sufficient to cool? How high can I overclock the Wolfdale until it starts becoming risk-full? Is there better choices for what I choose for the same price? Thank you so much. If you can give any input that would be great! Last edited by Tscott13 : 07-04-2008 at 07:04 PM. |

Re: Final Build -
the only thermaltake recommended is the toughpower series
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...corsair%2b550w if you are going to upgrade the video later you need to decide roughly to what now and put a psu in for that or you will have to upgrade the psu again

Re: Final Build -
The powersupply dai recommended is an excellent choice, and has a -$20 combo deal with a case I will link in a bit. I actually chose this case and this power supply with the combo deal for my personal gaming build (If only I could afford it right now, I'm getting it in another month-ish). The case + psu arent the reason I cant afford it, theyre actually a great deal. Heres the case URL:
