Can You All Look Over My Future Build?

Great forums guys.

I was going to order a custom pc from a company, but I just decided to do it by myself. But, before I do that, I need to make sure that I have all of the right and needed parts. Please have a look at it and tell me if you have any suggestions. Thanks a lot!

I know its a lot, but I really want to be sure that they are compatible. Will this comp be fast? I hope so...

My computer use is mainly towards documents, internet, listening to music, and I am also into games like sins of a solar empire, WOW, and especially Oblivion. If possible, I would like to run these maxed and still be able to get playable FPS.

Thanks again :)

Re: Can You All Look Over My Future Build?

First of all, a Rosewill power supply is simply not worth packing home. For your video card, you need a 650 watt power supply that is a quality unit. Please consider one of the following:

Seasonic - any model
Corsair - any model
Thermaltake - "Toughpower" series only
Coolermaster - "Real Power Pro" series only
PC Power & Cooling - any model
Silverstone - any model

Re: Can You All Look Over My Future Build?

Everything looks okay except for the PSU. I would look for a Seasonic, corsair, or PC power and cooling unit...possibly 650watts or so.

I see someone reviewed the case and said they had to modify the case in order to fit a 9800gtx...something to think about if you go for it.

Re: Can You All Look Over My Future Build?

You should go with a 250GB HDD. Those are some pretty expensive parts you're getting, I'm sure you can afford $10 to get a HDD with an extra 90GB. It's worth it in my book. Maybe even upgrade to 320GB or 500GB.

Also, good luck with that 3.2Ghz AMD CPU. AMD is great for budget machines, but I'd never use them for anything powerful like that. I'd go with an Intel 3Ghz Core 2 Duo. It might be a bit more, but if you can afford it, it's worth it. That -0.2Ghz is nothing compared to the massive amount of performace you'll get out of the upgrade. Not to mention an Intel CPU would overclock MUCH BETTER if you're into that. You could easily get an Intel 3Ghz to 4Ghz. Try that with your AMD processor and, well, I hope you dont fry your motherboard or anything else in the process of killing your CPU.
