Switched towers.. computer won't turn on.

Hello,

I swapped all my hardware from one tower to another and it won't turn on.

Seems as though there is no power getting to the system but everything
seems to be sitting fine and connected properly. The system was running
perfectly before the swap.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing the problem?

Thanks.

Re: Switched towers.. computer won't turn on.

Try setting the system up outside the case with RAM, Video, CPU see if it will post.
If so then most likely you have a standoff in the wrong place.

See this link How to Bench Test Your System

You can also take the switch from the old one over to the new one...see if the switch is bad...

My System

Re: Switched towers.. computer won't turn on.

I would do the bench test first. Also check to make sure every wire is in the correct place as it gets quite confusing.

Got it figured out, thanks guys. Was just missing the mounting brackets.

Runs like a dream now, thanks again.
