Help with new computer

Hey guys i just created this account to ask this question for i am lost at the moment. I have just built a new computer which runs fine except when playing games i have tried it out with crysis first up and it will hold for an hour at most before coming up with a send dont send windows type error thing. At first i thought well maybe my version of crysis has something wrong with it tried reinstalling it and all that still no luck so i decided to try another game this time something a bit older so i tried Heroes of might and magic 5 this was running fine as well for about 1 hour maximum as well before having the exact same thing happen the system doesnt freeze or crash or anything just has this error forcing me to close the game. I would really like to know any suggestions as it would be nice having my new system running smoothly.

the system specs are as follows

cpu: Intel e8400 3ghz duo core
Mobo: Asus p5n-e sli
Gpu: Palit 8800 gt 512mb
Ram: Corsair 4GB DDR2-800 PC2-6400 C4 TWIN2X DHX Memory
PSU: raidmax rx520

If any other information is needed please let me know any help would be appreciated as i am lost.

Re: Help with new computer

Have you checked your temps? Have you run a memtest?

Those are the two things I would do first. You could also stress the computer using benchmarking tools to see if that has the same effect...

Re: Help with new computer

That Raidmax 520 is a little light for heavy duty gaming I'd expect to see something like this

Or this

See this thread:
Power Supply Information and Selection

Also what CPU fan/heat sink are you using?

Re: Help with new computer

I ran the mem test to find some ugly results when i had two sticks of 2 gb each in i ran three separate tests at the same time two of the tests had errors while the other did not. I decided to take out one stick test and then test the other to see if it was just one stick one test went for 4 hours without finding a problem so i stopped that put the other stick in and it found problems within 3 % so i tried playing crysis with just the good stick and so far haven't had an issue will test it again tomorrow just to make sure i just havent caught it on a good day. As for the power supply tip thank you very much i will look into getting something more like this http://www.nzoczone.com/product_info...oducts_id=6812 if that is more adequate. Ill probably have to send back both sticks if the supplier will let me as its only been a week since i bought it. Thanks for all your help guys
