I bought a GM 5664 and I wanted to make it more of a gaming machine so I upgraded the GPU to a 9600 GT and then with some help from TechSupportForums I upgraded my PSU to a 650 Watt PSU to handle everything.
My Comp still only gets a 8900 on 3dmark. I need some more upgrade tips... I was thinking of buying a new Case, Motherboard, and an Intel Q6700 and just porting over the 9600, another 9600, the 2x500gb HD's, The Blu-ray/Hd-DVD Hybrid drive, my PSU, and some other things over to a whole new system because my major problem is the Phenom sucking so much butthole. The fact that I only have 1 PCI-E x 16 slot probably restricts me too. I figured I could overclock my stock CPU, I was wrong. I figured it would be good enough with a 9600 GT, also wrong. I would like to know what to do... I can sell the GM5664 for 500 and I have a new 1000 dollar budget so please let me know what to do to play the best games and run the most programs!! Thank you SOOOOOOO much!

Re: Hey guys!! I need a pro!!
What should you do? For starters, ignore 3dmark scores. They really don't translate well into real-world gaming functionality. (especially when using an AMD processor.)
How is your system performing when you actually play games? |

Upgrading your case really won't help the scores :)
You can try to OC your graphics a bit...that might help slightly if you want more FPS...use rivatuner or ntune for that. |

Re: Hey guys!! I need a pro!!
Well, I know the case doesn't do anything. The motherboard that I want won't fit in mine probably is what I meant. Lol.
My system lags a little on MAX settings of Oblivion which is not a new game. Weird. I would like to be able to max all games made before 2007.
