cpu help

Well I am looking to build a high end gaming pc and i am not sure what cpu i should go with. I am a big fan of amd but i dont know if i should stay with them or not?So i would like some other opinions.I am not builing this yet i am still saving so even if there are some new ones that i should wait for i will as long as its not more then a year.

At this point in time, Intel is ahead of AMD. The E8400 cpu seems to be a favorite around this board.

if the cost is no factor, by all means. but you'll need a fairly large power supply, and good cooling.
