Building A New Computer: First Time Building Suggestions Wanted!

Hello Tech Support, this is my first time building a computer.
I am willing to spend anything under $1500 all together.
I will be multi-tasking and be gaming.
I prefer all the computer parts to be from www.newegg.com
Here are the parts I've been looking at, will these work in my system all together?

Computer case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811156098

MotherBoard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813121090

CPU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115017

GPU (Video Card)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130325

RAM (Memory)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145183

Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136218

OS (Operating System)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16837116195

Speakers
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836121130

Am I missing anything? And will all these work together in the computer?

Thanks, Roy

Edit : I already have Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, External Cd-Drive, Printer.

Just noticed that if I wanted a 8800 GPU I need a 600+ Watt PSU
Would this work?

Re: Building A New Computer: First Time Building Suggestions Wanted!

My only comment is that it being a Intel chip set you wont be able to run SLI on the board. In that case, having two PCI-E 2.0 slots seems a little wasteful. You might want to try either....

1) A different board with only 1 PCI-E 2.0 Slot
OR
2) An Ati Video card.

Thats just to get the most bang for your buck. While the 8800 is a sweet card, the idea of pairing it with ANOTHER in a year or so should make it THAT much more attractive. That can't happen with this build. If you go with a Radeon out of the door, IF that choice is what you want in the future, you're set.

Once again, just what I think.

On the note of the PSU, yes, that would work. However, I personally like either Zalman, or Corsair. They are what I am going to put into my build.

I'm going to stick with the 8800 GTS, what's the best manufacturer for an Intel Motherboard? Or for the Quadcore Intel CPU?

Here's what I'm all looking at above, with a final price.
Good Deal?

Re: Building A New Computer: First Time Building Suggestions Wanted!

Well your wish list didnt post for me. But I dont know if what I said earlier could be misunderstood. What I mean by an intel chip set is the northbridge part of the motherboard. Not the CPU. I am a Intel guy myself.

The problem is in the line of reccomending a board that does what you are looking for, in that same price range, WITH DDR3, is kind hard. However, if you wanna spend a little more, AND have SLI available for the future, the board I would reccomend is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188025.

Other than that things look good!

Woah! That's a bit pricey motherboard, I'm not sure if I'm going to SLI later on, do you have another one in mind that will be able to SLI along with DDR3? If that isn't possible then, I might as well not SLI 8800 GTS is a great video card anyways.

sorry about the bad link to wishlist.
