Some helpful advice would be much appreciated

Hey, this will be my first time building a computer. Some helpful advice of what else I should get or compatibility issues are greatly appreciated Oh, and I don't have a motherboard picked out yet, any recommendations?

I was also wondering if I should get water cooling or something for this. This system will be primarily for gaming so it will be getting hot. Either that or more fans. Thanks in advance.

Here are a couple of thoughts:

Zap the Zalman and go for either a Corsair, a PC Power & Cooling, a Seasonic, or a Thermaltake "Toughpower" power supply.

With this setup, an ASUS P5K-e Wi/Fi board would do a nice job for you.
