Help! Building a New PC, Out of the loop since 02

Hey guys, I stumbled across this site while gathering some info on building a new PC. Its been a while since I have built one so I am totally out of the loop on whats hot and whats a good buy. So here's my plea for you guys! HELP! hahah So here are some answer's for your questions.

Budget: How much money are you willing to spend on the new build?
1500 or less, This will only be the tower that I am looking to build.

Brands: Are there any brands of components you want or don't want?
ATM since I don't know whats out there I am open to suggestions.

Multitasking: Will you be multitasking with this computer and if so, how much?
Yes, This will actually be a family comp, Me for my gaming and wife for her office/financial stuff

Gaming: Will you be gaming and if so, how much and how new are the games?

Yes, I will be gaming on this comp, I am one of those WoW addicts, although I have calmed down. Now just awaiting WarOnline.

Calculations: Will you be doing any intense calculations or media encoding?

Naw, Nothing to serious

Overclocking: Do you plan on overclocking and if so, how much?

No, Just as long as the games look good on High Settings Im good to go.

Storage: How much storage will you need and what will you be storing?
A decent amount of storage would be nice.

Legacy Support: Will you need support for older hardware like parallel, serial, or PS/2 devices?

Not to sure what this is, please educate!

Operating System: Do you want Windows XP or Vista, or Linux compatibility?

Windows XP, Help me find a cheap priced one!

Case: Do you want help selecting a case and if so, how big do you want it?

I was actually looking at this case here,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811103014

If anyone has a better suggestion please do tell!

Accessories: Do you want a keyboard, mouse, or other items included?

Already have!

Recycled Components: Will you be reusing any components you already have?

No, Old comp is basically shot!

Monitor: If you want a monitor, what size do you want and should it be widescreen?

Done deal.

Stores: Do you have any online stores that you prefer to purchase from?

Newegg will be fine

Location: What country do you live in?

US.

Re: Help! Building a New PC, Out of the loop since 02

Thats mainly what I use my rig for. WoW/Writing/Music/Watching videos it works very well.

1.(CPU)Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz - $200
2.(MOBO)ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA 750i - $150
3.(RAM)CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 - $50
4.(Video Card)EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB PCI-E 2.0 - $210
5.(HD)Western Digital Caviar 400GB RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s - $ 70
6.(Optical)LITE-ON Black SATA DVD Burner - $30
7.(Case)Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel or Twelve Hundred - $120
8.(PSU)Antec True Power Trio 650W - $130
9.(OS)Windows Xp Home Ed. OEM - $90
Total:$1,050

The CPU is in my opinion the best for gaming and anything else you might want throw at it

I fell in love with the Antec 900/1200 cases they have very good airflow.

I would not ever trust my computer parts to PSU that came with a case more then likely they will short out or cant handle the work load. My opinion, love your choice of case might get it but toss the PSU.
