New Build For A Friend
My friend needs a new computer and we will build it together. I have come up with a build for him, but I want a second opinion. He will be using it for gaming and some small school work. He has $950 for this build before rebates. He would like a system which he can upgrade later with a second video card and more ram. So if anyone can help I would love to see their ideas on a build. I have one planned out, but I would like to see what the experts think.

Re: New Build For A Friend
Really the only thing you can go cheaper on is the graphics card.
Ill see what I can find...Also remember the the shipping will probably nip the budget down a bit more http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130358 Not much difference except price Last edited by Jeremymtz; 05-22-2008 at 06:28 AM. |

Re: New Build For A Friend
I had a the exact same build except for 3 things. The only things I had changed was I went with a Corair 550VX which is a much better PSU that I have. And the case I had was the CM 690 with additional fans. On the video card side I opted for a XFX 8800GT which is 50 dollars cheaper and just as good. I like XFX and have used them before. For the price of that card I could have a 8800GTS before rebate!
