building a new comp need some help

since i now have a better paying job thanks to the national guard i decided to build a new computer and give my old $600 gaming rig i built not to long ago to my gf i would like for the community to come up with a build in my price range an amd and intel system would be nice just so i can compare specs and choose the one i like the most.

1. Budget: How much money are you willing to spend on the new build? 1000-1500

2. Brands: Are there any brands of components you want or don't want? brands dont matter just nothing cheap and junky

3. Multitasking: Will you be multitasking with this computer and if so, how much? alot of multitasking running 4 of my eve-online accounts

4. Gaming: Will you be gaming and if so, how much and how new are the games? dx10 games and i will be gaming alot

5. Calculations: Will you be doing any intense calculations or media encoding? so dvd burning and junk

6. Overclocking: Do you plan on overclocking and if so, how much? yes moderate to high overclocking


7. Storage: How much storage will you need and what will you be storing? about 100gb should be enough

8. Legacy Support: Will you need support for older hardware like parallel, serial, or PS/2 devices? no

9. Operating System: Do you want Windows XP or Vista, or Linux compatibility? vista 64bit

10. Case: Do you want help selecting a case and if so, how big do you want it? yes but im thinking of a Thermaltake Armor Series

11. Accessories: Do you want a keyboard, mouse, or other items included? fans , lcds and a temperature and fan controller would be nice

12. Recycled Components: Will you be reusing any components you already have? my old 150gb ide hd

13. Monitor: If you want a monitor, what size do you want and should it be widescreen? 22 inch lcd winde screen

14. Stores: Do you have any online stores that you prefer to purchase from? newegg

15. Location: What country do you live in? usa east coast

i dont plan on buy 2 different system for 1000 if that was causing confusion i want basicly an amd built spec list and an intel spec list so i can compare and see which is btter and so one

even for multitasking? cause i had a friend said i would want amd for multitasking and stuff. i have 6 eve-online accounts and i usually run 4-6 of them at once so i need a cpu that can handle that kind of stress and stuff
