Is this rig ok?

Hey I've just got a couple of questions on my rig:

Will 420W standered PSU be ok?

Is everything on a level with eachother a.k.a will anything bottleneck?

Will the onboard audio be ok? (meant for gaming)

Are the brands of the componants ok? Some people say the brand does affect the componants performance.

Will the cooling be ok?

What I'm looking to do is try and get a top of the range motherboard, so it is a bit more future proof and in a couple of months I will upgrade my GFX card and maybe my cpu.

Code:
Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gamer 420W Case with Side Window

(Quad-Core)Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz 1066FSB 8MB L2 Cache 64-bit

INTEL LGA775 CERTIFIED CPU FAN & HEATSINK

(3-Way SLI & QX9650 Support) MSI P7N Diamond Nforce 780i SLI with Creative X-Fi Sound Card LGA775 Mainboard FSB1333 DDR2 3 x PCIe x16 SATA RAID w/ USB2.0,IEEE1394,&7.1Audio

4GB (2x2GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory (Mushkin Value Select or Major Brand)

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express Video Card

160GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 8MB Cache 7200RPM HDD

SONY DUAL FORMAT 18X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER

Onboard audio soundcard

Killer M1 10/100/1000 Gigabit High Speed Online Gaming PCI Network Interface Card

Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard

Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium w/ Service Pack 1 64bit edition

So altogether that costs £1136.23.

Re: Is this rig ok?

I can tell you right now that your power supply will not cut it in this rig. What brand name is that supply, is it an Antec and if so, what model.

If you want to run that video card, you need a power supply with a minimum of an Antec Trio 650, or a Corsair 620, and if you might upgrade your video card in the next year or two, then take a look at the Thermaltake "Toughpower" series in the 750 watt range, or the Corsair in that range, or even a Seasonic in that range.

Ok thanks for your input. Would a 'CoolerMaster Real Power PRO 700W Modular PSU SLI Ready' do the trick?

Re: Is this rig ok?

It sure would, that is a very good power supply and will last you quite some time. For that brand, the "real power pro" model is the best one that company makes, so you would be fine with plenty of power. Let us know how it goes when you get it done. Have a great week.

Re: Is this rig ok?

If you can find a Cooler Master iGreen unit, those are reliable also. For an 8800GT and that CPU you should be looking at 650W to 700W unit.

Just a bit of advice, drop the Killer NIC. It really won't help much if any, and is definitely not worth the price. As I have explained in other posts, it is not the NIC on your computer that is the bottleneck in online gaming.
