Getting A New PC - Please suggest

Write this is gonna be my first Assembled Pc so i really want you guys to help me out with it..
It's basically gonna be for Gaming and other teenage purposes and high storage required to store movies , music , projects blah blah..
The Config which i've planned out till now is :


Screen : Samsung Syncmaster 226bw (22")
Keyboard : Logitech G15
Speakers : Logitech G51
GFX Card : Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX (xfx)
Motherboard : Nvidia nForce 780i SLI MCP
Hard Disk : 500GB (Western Digital)
RAM : 2 x 2 GB (Transcend)
Cabinet : Cooler Master Cosmos S
Processor : Inter Quad Core q6700
DVD Writer : Sony

I'd like you guys to Comment/Suggest/Make improvements (in the config if any).

you probably don't need a quad core processor. If your main usage is going to be gaming, then it is useful to look at the system reqs to see what sort of spec you want to be looking at.

Seems like a pretty good system. I agree with the second post, right now I don't think you need a quad core cpu but if you want to shell out the cash its up to you.

Overall, pretty good system.

you can always use a quad. games are being designed to take care of multiple cores. and the future will use them even more. i would get it. i would change video card to either 8800GTS 512 or 3870x2. the GTS is cheaper and nearly outperforms the GTX. the 3870x2 is sometimes more expensive but spanks the GTX up and down the field
