Building myself a home server (2003 not WHS) and RAID cards
Hi Guys
i'm looking at building myself a home server running 2003 but I have a question that you might be able to help with ![]() I want to be able to install 8x1tb disks and run them in RAID 5 config. Now, i've been looking at PCI-E RAID cards and the only ones that support 8 or more drives are silly money. What I would like to know is, can I get two 4 port cards and run them both on the same system? Could there be any driver clash etc? Also, i'm guessing that they wont allow me to have 1 RAID array and in fact, would appear as two seperate arrays? Thanks in advance! |
