Re: Building a new pc!

No matter how good a 500 watt is (and the seasonic is one of the best) i still would not try and run a 8800 on it look at a 650 watt unit

Re: Building a new pc!

I agree, the Seasonic S12 650W is the way to go.

Also look at spending a little more money for a higher quality motherboard. You might also want to considder waiting just a little bit since nVidia will be releasing budget range nForce 7xx chipsets soon which will support the new 45nm Intel processors.

Re: Building a new pc!

Your system build parts list looks OK, Uprate the PSU to 650 Watts minimum and I would go for a Asus P5KC.Apart from that it looks good..

Re: Building a new pc!

Look at this since its newer:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139415

You will be putting a lot of stress on the PSU trying to run an 8800 on it. You won't notice it immediately but the power supply will run hotter and have a shorter lifespan. Look at these:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/115880
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/114933

The Antec Trio above is actually made by Seasonic, Antec just puts their name on it.

Re: Building a new pc!

ok well i updated the list and changed psu to the trio here it is now:

Case: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/115479
Mobo: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132812
Proccesor: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131950
Video card: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134871
Power: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/114933
Hard drive: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/124228
RAM: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/98710 x2
Operating system: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/123067
Cooling: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/105994

What is the voltage on the 12 rail? and is this power supply enough to not cause any stress? also is it compatible with all my other things? i think it is from what i see but would like some 1 to just resure me that it is compatible ty!

Re: Building a new pc!

The voltage is 12 volts on the 12v rail... and the Antec Trio 650W is a very good PSU and it works with everything.

Re: Building a new pc!

Looks good, but as I stated before look at the newer Asus P5N-T with the 780i chipset. Also, unless you have a specific need for the extra speed don't go with 64-bit Vista because there is a lack of application and driver support for it.

Re: Building a new pc!

The 650i does not support the Peryn or 45nm CPUs.
